Having lived in a British seaside city for my entire life, I decided to create my own.
Sea-Side City is a genre-bending series, where a variety of different characters living their own lives are featured in unique and compelling stories, each set in the same English city.
I have always found cities interesting, with thousands of different people with diverse personalities living within proximity of one another, their lives overlapping, sometimes without them even knowing it. Through this, the concept of the "Sea-Side City" was born, lovingly crafted from various life experiences spliced with the brightest and darkest of my imagination.

Born and raised in the coastal city of Portsmouth, S.A. Ballantyne has been passionate about telling stories. In 2019 he self-published his debut compilation book
“Sea-Side City: The Tides of Change Compilation”.
His fictional stories predominantly focus on true to life scenarios, often leaning towards horror, suspense and hard-hitting reality.
With an unorthodox style of writing and long term storytelling, S.A. Ballantyne’s has been influenced by a variety of different media including Boardwalk Empire; This is England, South Park, Professional Wrestling, Cracker, Marvel and DC comics. Additionally, he has drawn much inspiration from his personal life experience.
