Key Locations Scrap-Book
New in town?
Don't worry, we're all new somewhere. Here are some of the key locations and what you can expect if you come across them. There are some beautiful sights to experience but, like most cities, some places are better than others.
Stay safe and enjoy yourself.

The South Side of Town
The south side of the Sea-Side City is arguably the most attractive. Our beach and funfair have attracted tourists of all cultures and ages. Though it may not be dissimilar to other beaches around England, the spectacular sight of the sun glistening upon the shimmering ocean has soothed many a soul.
Notable Places
Cutting Craft is a convenient hardware store located at the south side shopping precinct. I am saddened to hear that the store manager of Cutting Craft, Arthur Harding, is leaving soon. I can only hope that his replacement is as kind and genuine as he has been.
Unfortunately, the south side of town is also home to two of the worst areas of crime within the city. Since it's condemnation, South-Town Harbour has become one of the most dangerous places in the city. I would strongly advise against going anywhere near it!
The second widely avoided area in the south side of Town is the Winstone Way estate. The area is known to locals as ‘Jacksville’. It gained its nickname due to the number of residents who drape the Union Flag over their balconies. Throughout my years living in the city, I have known a great deal of decent people born and bred in the area; however, ‘Jacksville’ does boast the worst reported crime rates in the city.
City Centre
The financial heart of the Sea-Side City, the city centre is where most people spend their days. Whether it be for business or pleasure, it is seasoned with shops, pubs and perhaps most the most unpopular of the three, the Job Centre.
Notable Places
The Town Hall is host to a wide range of different events. An interactive public debate forum hosted by Rockshore University students is scheduled to take place there soon. Hopefully all will go well and they can enjoy a pint at the Town Cryer pub after. Think I'm just going to stay in the pub myself.
The Coastal Collage is the key location for shopping within the city. Instantly recognizable for its innovative architecture and artistic design the sun beams through the multicoloured entrance ark illuminating the floor below.
I'm not normally too keen on shopping, but I have to admit, I've always enjoyed the colourful and whimsical atmosphere atmosphere it has brought to the city.
Penelope Park. One of the most definitive locations of the Sea-Side City. A tranquil park located a stone’s throw from the town square. Penelope Park was once a hostile environment where gangs of youths used to go to fight. However, with the arrival of the Sea-Side Saxons outbreaks of violence in the area have now ceased and it is a wholesome family-friendly environment once again.

Industrial District
Once a thriving goldmine of the Sea-Side City's economy, the industrial district seems to have suffered something of a slump since the closure of one of its premier clubs some years back now. However, I've heard rumours that the club has been purchased by a new face in town. I took a long stroll down there a few weeks back and sure enough I saw that the lights were on at night. I've got a feeling the only thing that will stay the same down there is the ferry port to the city's neighbouring island.
Notable Places
The Port in a Storm is a pub near the ferry port. It's under new ownership but I haven't been there in years. I'm getting on a bit now and it's a bit too far for me to walk from my Cabot's Court flat next to Penelope Park.
The North Side of Town
The north side of town mainly consists of residential housing. However, it is home to St Catherine's Church. There's something beautifully haunting about the sight of St Catherine's. Apart from St Catherine's, the north side is also home to the city's train station. I'd imagine the noise of the trains would be quite difficult to sleep through during the early hours of the morning. There are a few shops situated around the North side of town too, but it’s mostly tat.
Notable Places
Lou's News might sell mostly tat, but in all my years of living in the Sea-Side City, rarely have I seen such a warm and personable shopkeeper. She'll do anything for anyone and that's a quality which is hard to come by in this day and age.
The Rockshore Community Centre has been around for quite some time. Sadly, all I ever see it used for these days is ruddy wrestling shows. It's a miracle these poor kids haven’t been crippled.
Outside of the City
I've rarely ever ventured out of the city. However, there are two notable areas outside the city limits, the first being King's Port harbour, a high-end district of shops with a dock for frequenters to keep their boats while they spend their hard-earned (or conned) cash. The second area on the outskirts of the city is Carningsdale, a small rural village with a sizeable woodland area.
